Upcoming Events

The C&O Canal Association has scheduled the following upcoming activities through September (see also our Calendar for a complete listing of 2010 events):

On Saturday, September 25, the Cumberland Canal Family Reunion will take place, with details to be announced.  See article for information about the Canal Reunion series.

Also on September 25, “A Day at the Point” at Point of Rocks, Maryland, will include Run/Walk events at 8:00 a.m. and a juried arts and crafts festival from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. (see information sheet). C&OCA is helping to sponsor this event, which benefits the C&O Canal Current Initiatives Fund.

Other enjoyable local events along or near the canal upcoming through September include: the Brunswick Bicycle Festival on August 21; Williamsport Days, August 28-29; and the Cumberland Canal/Rail Fest, September 25-26.
