River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation will host an exhibit, Commemorating the C&O Canal – from Past to Present. This exhibit runs from April 13 to June 6. It will feature the art of Jean Hirons in accompaniment to the research and writings of Association member Joel Cohen in his assignment with Duke University.

Jean Hirons will speak at the exhibit opening on April 13th from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibit will feature approximately 20 of Jean’s pastels showing various locations along of the C&O Canal. These paintings coincide with the second part of the exhibit, including original writings, photography, philatelic displays, and other artifacts of the canal.
