January 28 Sunday, 10:30 AM, Lock 6, mile 5.4, to check out both Feeder Dam 1 at mile 5.64 and Inlet Lock 1 at mile 5.0.

One of the 2024 Continuing Hikes investigating the dams and locks providing water and access to the canal from the Potomac River.  Attendees should dress for the weather, bring water and lunch or a snack, and be prepared to walk four to eight miles round trip. Hikes are rain or shine.
